Konecranes UK Limited were awarded a contract to supply, install and commission various Electric Overhead Cranes ranging from 2 tonnes Safe Working Load up to 100 tonnes Safe Working Load. This contract was for a key account client in Bridge of Don Aberdeen and the project timetable had some tight delivery / commissioning schedules attached to it. Due to client production requirements the dates for the test weights changed on a regular basis which Phoenix Weights dealt with very professionally. However when required at very little notice Phoenix Weights were always in a position to support our requirements from 2 tonnes to 125 tonnes with a lifting cradle. The equipment came fully certified and was delivered on the required dates regardless of the short notice given on some of the occasions. Without the commitment and co-operation of Alan and Sara this project would not have been completed with the success it was and to the complete satisfaction of our important client. Phoenix Weights recently assisted us on a project that was undertaken by one of our clients who we hire cranes to. On this occasion our client (Cairn Toul) who are a sub contractor to Shell were faced with an urgent load test on a vital piece of equipment which was required to be mobilised offshore at very short notice. As we are a crane hire company and do not supply test weights we always take our enquiry to Alan & Sara at Phoenix Weights, where we always receive a quick response to our enquiry, on many occasions the enquiry does not come to fruition but never the less the enquiry is always treated with care & attention. On this occasion our client required 20T of weights and a cradle, on contacting Phoenix Weights we were given a couple of options to put to our client, once our client finally made a decision there was a deadline to be met in order for the equipment to be sent offshore. The short notice that we gave Phoenix Weights was no problem and the weights were delivered to site at the time specified by our client. The job was carried out successfully and our client met their deadline and have said that they would come back to us for test weights with any similar projects in the future. We pride ourselves with the service we provide with our cranes and have no hesitation in utilising test weights from Phoenix as they deliver the same level of service we expect our customers to receive from us.
